Zoe-perry
Perry was the daughter of Laurie Metcalf (actor) and Jeff Perry (actor). She made her first appearances in television shows in the role of Jackie Harris, a character which was played by her mother in Roseanne, an ABC show Roseanne. She was not allowed to begin acting by her parents until adulthood, as they feared the strain it might cause. Perry acknowledged that she was not confident in her acting during high school. She began doing it to meet new people in Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. Perry had the opportunity to secure minor TV roles in Law & Order: Criminal Intent when she finished her degree. However, her homesickness caused her to move to California again where she began performing on stage. Perry performed with her mom as part of The Other Place at Broadway, back in 2013. The show was directed by Eugene O'Neill. Pulitzer Prize winner Anna Christie, along with Kevin McKidd. This was presented in the West Los Angeles' Odyssey Theatre Ensemble. Perry appeared nine times in the ABC thriller The Family, in 2016. In 2017, she played a recurring role on her own ABC Political thriller Scandal starring her father. She was also cast in her role on the CBS show The Big Bang Theory spinoff Young Sheldon as a version younger of Mary Cooper, Sheldon Cooper's mom. Despite the fact that she has a connection with her family to the character, she was offered the role via an audition.
